Building Blocks: Brainstorming an efficient party

Greetings fellow players!

In this new section called Building Blocks, I shall present my biased opinion on how to brainstorm along with your friends and fellows a Dungeons and Dragons™ party. This section's role is twofold: to create a binding momentum for your group and to enhance the fun of team play.

A character sheet! What do I do with it? Part III: Anatomy of a power card

Greetings fellow gamers!

In the last part I spoke about the elements that your character sheet needs so you, the player, have an easy time gleaning the right information in the thickest of battles be them social or armed.
In this part I will cover the power cards, which start from page 3.

A character sheet! What do I do with it? Part II: Where to look

Greetings fellow gamers!

In the first part I made available to you the preferred layout for the character sheet generated by the Character Builder. And although it isn't nailed to the ground, there are certain elements that you need to keep when designing your own character sheet layout.

A character sheet! What do I do with it? Part I: Layout

Greeting fellow gamers!

You might've read the last post about the Character Builder and even installed it and tinkered with it until a character emerged from its bowels. The character sheet appearing after you saved your creation, displaying all necessary number crunch for the character to enter play, is a view to behold but its layout is not something nailed to the ground.

Character Builder and its Loader. How do they work?

Greetings fellow gamers!

The Character Builder in its offline incarnation has been discontinued two years ago, but a dedicated community managed to insert additional content via Loader and keep it up to date with new material released by Wizards of the Coast™.

Now this modified Character Builder is not very friendly and the installation may pose some issues along the way. Thus you may find the installation instructions in both Romanian and English here.

Also, for those lacking the installation kit, I made a RAR archive containing all needed elements to get the offline Character Builder started and ready to go. The link is here.

Enjoy!
